Project kick-off meeting

Hitos

The nanoLyme project held the first project meeting with all consortium members. The project has been selected by the call for projects POCTEFA 2024 - 2027.

On April 9, the NanoLyme project launch meeting was held in Pau, which was attended by all members of the consortium in person or on-line. In this way, the different actions to be developed during the first semester of the project were planned.

The NanoLyme project brings together scientists with expertise in Health and Chemistry from the four partners involved from Spain and France (the University of Zaragoza, the IIS Aragón, the IPREM in Pau (CNRS/UPPA Mixed Center) and the CH Lannemezan) with the aim of developing a new diagnostic method for Lyme disease based on a novel approach, which instead of trying to detect the antibodies generated by the patient will detect the inoculated bacteria themselves that cause the disease. The development of this methodology requires the cross-border cooperation of the participating partners and their complementary expertise in the use of nanotechnology as an enabling tool, ICP-MS and artificial intelligence applied to clinical diagnostics.

More information about the project is available in this podcast (in spanish).
