Spanish Scientist Wins Major European Chemistry Award
Dr. Martín Resano peers into the invisible world of atoms every day, and Europe has just recognized him as one of the best in the world at doing so. The University of Zaragoza professor has been awarded the 2024 European Award for Plasma Spectrochemistry, marking him as a pioneer in the science of seeing what things are truly made of.
Researchers Advance Measurement of Micro and Nanoparticles
A study compares different methods for measuring the size of nanoparticles by mass spectrometry, identifying the most accurate techniques and their optimal applications. The researchers developed new tools to improve the measurements, including a computer program that facilitates the analysis. This advance is especially relevant given the increasing use of nanoparticles in medicine, technology and consumer products.
